Pioneering Surgical Research
Mr Manolis Heliotis has been involved in researching tissue engineering techniques in the international arena for many years. This background has allowed him to translate laboratory research into surgical practice, carrying out pioneering work in bone regeneration in patients.
The bone grafting techniques that he uses for dental implant work, sinus lifts, periodontal structures and reconstruction of jaws, trauma and orthognathic surgery are therefore founded on the solid scientific knowledge that he has helped develop, as attested by the scientific peer-reviewed publications listed below.
He has presented talks in many international medical and scientific conferences on tissue regeneration. Mr Heliotis maybe the only surgeon in the UK who publishes his Orthognathic Surgical outcomes in the highest impact, peer reviewed journal in Maxillofacial Surgery.
He is a pioneer in the development of patient outcome reported measures in Orthognathic Surgery.
