At only, 24, Lucy described herself as ugly. She was severely disadvantaged because her face was retropositioned and she perceived her life chances as poor. In addition, she suffered from moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, meaning that she was sleep deprived for years.
She was confined to home and couldn’t travel easily because she was constrained by a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine at night to breath with and function.
She now is free of CPAP and she can breath normally with the obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) being cured. Lucy says that her life has been saved.
